1. Yes, PageRank is the value of your site in Google's eyes and is widely thought to be an authority score that can help you rank better.





2. No, PageRank, especially after the last release is crap and a total waste of time.





Based on my answer 1... and the resent change. Forbes.com is now less valuable than 100s of little personal blogs on business. Additionally at a lower PR Forbes still outranks all those PR7 blogs.
