Survey: What would you like to see more of on the web?

And please do not say porn!!! Is there any one thing you can think of that you would like to see more of.....a service you could use? A new game site? New store? Or do you think it is over saturated as it is?

Survey: What would you like to see more of on the web?
Hmmm...porn. I don't think there's nearly enough porn out there.

"What is your MAIN camera for taking photographs?"

I use a variety of cameras which are based upon the clients needs. This includes a 4x5 view camera, 35mm SLR's and DSLR's.

Recently I have been shooting a lot of 35mm film. The digital craze has wained and some clients are returning to using transparency film ... something they are familiar with and know how to handle more economically than digital images.
Reply:The survey was a bit lacking, I am assuming you are doing market research for online photo viability. Questions were too vague missed alot about photographers....

Has anyone ever joined Web Colleagues.com? What did the work actually involve, etc.?

I'm looking for an on-line job I can do. Circumstances have changed and an outside job is no longer optional at this point. I came across this web site and was just wondering if it would be worth the trouble what with all the at-home-scams going on. I don't have a lot of money as it is and I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. I don't like taking surveys (they annoy me for some reason) so please do not list any survey sites. Thanks.

Has anyone ever joined Web Colleagues.com? What did the work actually involve, etc.?
I am not familiar with Webcolleagues.com (I just visited the site and have never saw it before), but I did do some research on similar "jobs" and this is how it works:

The "fee for training" that you pay is a one-time pay-in. The reason it works so well is that THOUSANDS of people pay the one-time fee. Now, when you pay this fee, they send you text and information to create a site just like the one you saw. It is called "Data Entry" or "Typing at Home" because you are literally entering data at home and typing at home by creating your ads, your websites, etc, and selling the same "opportunity". Is it legal? Yes, probably. Is it legitimate? That is a question for you to decide.

What I do know is that people are quick to call things scams, but many business opportunities are not scams. The people who get involved in them want instant success, and that is virtually impossible. The age of instant gratification is detrimental to sound business practices. It is common not to profit in a business in a year, yet most people expect to see a substantial profit without laying a solid foundation. It's like farming. If you plant seeds, you will not see crops immediately. However, if you continue to water and nourish the seeds, in time, you will be able to harvest your crops.

To your success...

Do the web sites where you can do surveys for money work?

i've always wanted to try this but scared that they might scam do they work and what are some web sites that you have tried thank you

Do the web sites where you can do surveys for money work?
Survey's are not what you think. You can make a little money out of it, but you won't be self sufficient. They are not scams because you do make some money. However, you should understand how they work and decide if this is what you want to do based on the facts not hype. A couple of my friends did a six month test on several different survey sites like Survey Savvy, Harris Poll, Greenfield, Opinion Outpost, Survey Sport, Buzzback, NPD online, Lightspeed Panel, African American, Your2Cents, Project Payday, Inboxdollar, SnapDollars,Send Earnings, Creation, mycoke rewards, E-poll etc. Each did some the same sites and some different sites. Totaling at least 15 - 20 a piece. They're not what people say they are. Yes they are easy to do and you can receive money and prizes, compensating you for your time and effort. So they're not a scam. They're very time consuming though. When you add the time together, It's more time then you think! If you do decide to get into surveying, you better plan on spending 8 to 10 hours a day and make minimum wage. Sometimes you will hit good surveys that will pay you a lot, but what's required to get that is amount, the calculations of the time involved, and what you got paid in these "higher" paying surveys, still only averages out to minimum wage. It's a psychological thing because the time is spread out on these, so it doesn't seem to be as long as it really is. But we did the documentation's and figured the time vs money factor. We found that there was more time with little money to be made.

Here's how the survey's work. You spend approximately 10 to 15 minutes per each site to register and set up a profile to qualify for surveys. (this is non paid). To make anything really work, you need to register for at least 14 different ones, and make sure non are related to each other. Then you'll start receiving emails for surveys. Each survey you have to complete a 15 to 20 minute "pre-qualifying" survey, after you were already told you qualified based on your profile (you don't get paid for this) Then if you do qualify for a survey (which majority of the ones you don't qualify for. so you've wasted this 15 to 20 minutes and sometimes longer of non paid time.) Then if you don't qualify for one, they offer another and you have to do the same thing, and the same thing happens.) You waste approximately 45 minutes to an hour until you finally qualify for a survey. You take a 30 to 45 minute survey and make normally $1 to $3 a survey that they claim takes 15 minutes. Or instead of money, you earn "points" which later on can be exchanged for money or prizes. You have to earn enough points to make $10. That's not including the 15 minute pre qualifying survey, that you had to repeatedly do prior to land this survey. So you've now spent thirty minutes to an hour and made $3 or a few points. And the process between each of the survey sites is the same. So you can pretty much do the math. It averages out to be between $2 to $6 an hour. Sometimes you do come across a survey that will pay you $25 to $75 a survey, BUT there's A LOT more to it then what meets the eye on that as well.

Here's how the larger pay out survey's work. It could be a telephone survey or a Internet survey. You get the pre qualifying part of 10 to 20 minutes then if you qualify for it another 15 to 30 minute survey or a telephone survey about the product your about to try to see if you qualify to try it. Even though you took a 10 to 20 minute "pre qualifying survey" that said you qualify for. When you qualify for it, they send you a product out to try for 7 to 10 days and you do some daily documentation's on it. Depending on what the product is and the documentation's it's usually 5 - 15 minutes each daily documentation. (you got a free product to use around the house, this is a good part of it) after trying the product out you have to complete another survey that takes between 15 to 30 minutes to do. Now you do the calculations on that. You don't get as many of these types of survey's. They use the hype on getting paid $25 to $75 dollars for 15 minute surveys. Notice the plural in "surveys". What they don't tell you is that there is more then one survey involved in each of these. Now calculate from your pre-qualifying survey to the next pre-qualifying survey from the company carrying the product, to the trial and documentation's, to the last survey on these products. Then you receive a check four weeks to six weeks later. Do the math, that's less then minimum wage!

Another way to earn money on survey sites, is to refer people over to the sites. Some survey sites will give you a percentage on what the people do after they've reached a curtain amount of points or obtained their first check (refer back to the top of what's involved) You either get a lot of points for this, and only one time and when you reach a curtain amount of points you can exchange it for cash or prizes. (Cash amount is usually $30 before you can cash out- do the math on how many pre-qualifying surveys and the surveys you get, the time involved etc this is what it takes to earn the $30) Other survey sites you complete shorter surveys (5 to 15 minutes) and your entered into sweepstakes or lottery things for prizes or money. "Lottery"-one winner out of all the people doing survey's. If you don't win, you lose your points.

Okay, I'm starting to write a book. I can go on about all the other types of survey's available and what was

involved in that if you'd like me to elaborate on it.

I do survey's because it does help the marketing on different products and they do use the opinions of what things look like and what not. Teaching my daughter that money doesn't "grow on trees". She has fun with it, and yes I give her the money she made. Not a lot of money, but for a child it's a lot. I do it for the principle of the matter. Don't do it for money, because you won't make a sufficient amount of money with this. You won't be able to survive on this and support your family.

You really have to register for a lot of different sites. The paid survey sites offer the same survey's as the non paying ones. You get the same type of prizes and some pay a little more money. Again calculation time. Calculate how much you "paid" into these sites and the time you put into it, (refer back to how the survey's work) and it calculates back to minimum wage. If your doing this to make a living off of, you will be disappointed. But just for some extra cash, it's a good source and like I said, the companies do document the feedback and use it to better advertise their products and in some cases come out with new products based on the input of the surveyors.

If you want to work from home, (assuming this is why you want to do survey's) There are a lot of different things you can do from home. You have a few options to look into. a home job which pays minimum wage. But understand that after taxes your looking at your take home as below minimum wage. If this is sufficient amount of income, here's a couple websites that you can take a look at and apply for the job. I can't guarantee that you will receive the job. but you can apply for it. A lot of people are applying and looking for ways to make money at home.

http://www.homecareerinfo.com/0235/mt

http://www.apply.westathome.com/

Your other option is to look into having a home based business in an industry that you like. You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business, without all the over head expenses. Most home based businesses cost under $500 to start. A huge income opportunity for you there working from home. I created a blog on my 360 yahoo page on home based business opportunities. Over half a dozen different ones to choose from in several different industries. Also a lot of information on scams, what to look for the BBB, and a few other things you should read and be educated on.

Reply:Yes. But the real trick to it is - don't do surveys - unless you want to. The magic is in the REFERRALS.

You get paid for whomever you sign up under you.

You get paid for whomever your signups get to sign up.

You get paid when your signups or their signups fill out sfree surveys and complete offers.

So you may as well sign up free. Then post your unique referral URL they give you in your signature in forums, message boards, in you outgoing emails. It's passive income.

And it works.

Does anyone know where I an find a web-site that I can work On- line filling out surveys?

I am looking for a job on line, in which I don't have to buy something first then work for the company. You know how they advertise first before you work? Like you have to buy a certain object first. Thanks from a mom who needs work!

Does anyone know where I an find a web-site that I can work On- line filling out surveys?
Despite what you've undoubtedly seen advertised, there are no 'we'll pay you to fill out surveys' sites that are legit. Real companies seldom if ever pay to have surveys filled out, the payment in itself makes the survey invalid.

If somebody does point you there, be very careful, odds are it's some form of scam.
Reply:I agree with the people who say there are no legit take-surveys-get-paid sites. Having 'professional' survey-takers totally undermines the results of the marketing research.

If you want to work on-line from home you need to have special skills such as translator, programmer, web designer, graphic artist, writer/editor, and limited few others ... in the source is a link for you to get some ideas what type of jobs are available on-line. bare in mind that less skillful the job is, less paid it is - because you are in competition with people from around the world who often will work for just a fraction of your pay.

I have some free survey sites that are very reliable just check out my profile by clicking my name or email me for them. I only give sites that I've been paid by so you won't get scammed. They're all reliable and I've never had a problem with them. (I've been doing them for a year now) The best part is that anyone can do them and they're easy. You won't get rich but they definitely help with bills :)

2. Btw a lot of the ones above are spammers and I wouldn't trust them
Reply:Try some online jobs, where you don’t have to pay upfront money. Online data entry is an excellent career to consider if you want to work at home. The equipment needed for this type of job is very minimal. You only need a computer with an Internet connection, a table and a comfortable chair. Data entry duties include the inputting of correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets into a home computer and then transmitting that data using the Internet. Work at home data entry personnel may also proofread text, edit information, and maintain databases. Data entry jobs usually offer flexible scheduling, allowing people to work when they want to and as little or as much as they want to. Some of the growing fields for work at home data entry include medical and legal transcription, medical coding and litigation coding.

http://internet--jobs.blogspot.com/

This type of work is becoming so popular that many fraudulent websites have emerged offering data entry jobs, which promise huge profits. The best way to find a legitimate data entry job is visit a reputable career website. You are more likely to find a genuine work at home job using these websites.

http://workathome-sa.blogspot.com/

There are several freelance websites that post freelance data entry jobs. Avoid responding to ads that do not list a company name or contact information. There are many reputable freelance work forums that can provide you with work at home data entry job listings. The forums are usually free to join and provide trustworthy information. Once you have found an advertisement for a work at home data entry job, check out the company by visiting their websites. You can also do an online search using the company name and visit the Better Business Bureau website to see if they have been listed as a fraudulent company.

Anyone ever hear of those web sites where you get paid to take surveys?

Does anyone know of any legitimate ones? I thought about joining a few, but you usually have to pay a membership enrollment fee or something like that, and that makes me skeptical. Anyone know of any that are truly legitimate, and even better, any that don't cost anything to join?

Anyone ever hear of those web sites where you get paid to take surveys?
I've done several free online surveys. They mostly explain how you get X amount of dollars for each completed survey. And at the very very bottom of the survey website, is fine print that explains, after completing a survey your name is entered into a drawing for the X amount of dollars.

So basically, if 300 people do the same survey, only 1 is getting like 10 or 15 bucks. I did notice a couple "membership" surveys, but after doing 10 free surveys and not receiving one cent, its probably not worth it. Too good to be true.
Reply:like any where they will invite you for a biref survey but i think that those things are fraud do not trust them ever
Reply:Most of them are scams.
Reply:Yes, I do! I've listed most of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or received other rewards like gift cards or CD'S) on the following webpage--and they are all free to join:

http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys

I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc. (And yes, if I say they have an affiliate program, I'm part of it, and make a commission when someone signs up through that link...I like to be up front about that).

But there are also scams out there you have to watch out for. Here are some tips to avoid them:

Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys (they mainly direct you to free sites like the ones I listed--at least, thats what I read in an article in Parents last year). Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not aggregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).

Also, never sign up for a survey through an unsolicited e-mail--since these might not even be from the site they claim to be, but could be a phishing scheme to get your information and mis-use it. And never give your credit card info--there is no good reason a legitimate free site would need it.

Reply:i do surveys on myspace!
Reply:There are some that are legitimate and free, but probably not what you are looking for. I am a member of 2 such site, and the 'pay' is either in points that you can cash out or buy prizes. 1000 points = $10 and surveys range from 10 points for a very short one, to one I am in that every three months, for the whole month I log what I spend and how (ie credit card, debit, cash) which pays 1000. Also, sometimes you will get a survey that will pay $2 or $3, so it is not a lot of money. Once I got $5 to try out a 'mystery' brand of deodorant. So, $5 and a free stick of deodorant wasn't a bad deal.

Altogether, I have cashed out maybe $150 over the course of the year, so it is enough to get some stuff. In the beginning, you will not get the higher paying surveys, but once you take the lower ones, the better ones will come.

The two I use are mysurvey.com and esearch.com I emailed a link to you if you would like to join. I get 150 points for referring someone.

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

The most I've ever gotten for a single survey was $5.00, and you must have a verified Paypal account. When "joining the panel" you fill out information about yourself. If you match the demographics needed for a particular survey, they will email you and let you know. You get a unique user ID and use this to log in to the survey site.

I've been a member of this site for about a year or two, and I've only made about $20.00. So it's definitely not going to be a second income, but it's good for some cash every once in a while.

Is there a catch to these web sites that pay you to complete surveys?
A lot of them just want your information so they can have their "partners" send you emails. www.greenfieldonline.com is a great survey website that I have made quite a lot of money off of. I have been with them for a long time and they only send me emails for surveys I qualify for so I'm not wasting my time. I'd be weary about a website trying to give you a bunch of stuff for free.

What companies sell interactive web poll software that I can place on my website?

I want to create the questions myself and design it myself and then pace the polling on my website. See ESPN's website. Usually, they have a survey question to the lower-right had corner of their website.

I don't want something like web monkey where they send you to their website to answer the question. I want complete control without any external companies being apart of my surveying.

What companies sell interactive web poll software that I can place on my website?
Hi,

I have used PHPSurveyor for several web site polls. It has a lot of features and you can design and setup your own surveys.

Surveys can be simple or very complex, it handles them both and it gives you useful analysis of your replies. People can be asked to sign up to complete the survey or can answer without giving a name, email address etc.

They have added other features since I last used it so it may have got even better. The other advantage to the script is it's free, at least the last time I used it.

Tony

WHAT WAS THAT web address where you actually get paid for filling out online surveys?

What was that web address where you actually get paid for filling out online surveys? I saw one on here a few weeks back that seemed to be for real.

WHAT WAS THAT web address where you actually get paid for filling out online surveys?
None of them are for real........I did many of them and none of them are for real.......they give you points, that have to build up. Problem is I did it for months on 4 different sites, and never even got close to anything. Most of them tell you to fill out these surveys and you get this or that, and when your done, they tell you that the item is yours, IF, you complete 1 or 2 of these great offers......like signing up for BMG music or itunes. Thanks
Reply:It might have "seemed to be real" but it won't be. It will be one big scam and you will end up paying THEM, not them paying YOU. The other scenario is that they will ask for your bank details and clear out your bank account. Avoid.
Reply:scam, they are all scams. there is no "magic way" to make money from home. they only way is to scam.

Tips for writing a proposal for a Web site redesign?

I am in a graduate-level course related to Web site usability and the Internet identities of organizations. Our final project is supposed to be a 15-20 page research paper incorporating 20+ scholarly sources. My project is more applied than some, as I am actually creating a proposal to redesign the Web site for the office where I work on campus. I've read 40+ articles, conducted a survey, focus groups, and met with my boss and a woman in the office who works with students on a regular basis. Each of these sources has given me little bits of information and suggestions for what content to include on the site and how to organize that content.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to outline the proposal, and I'm at a loss. I have my final draft of what the site structure should look like, but I don't know how to break down the explanation. I can't use first person to explain my process for arriving at this structure. Anyone done a proposal like this?

On the web when it says take a survey and earn cash is it true or are they lying?

The only site I've ever seen that really pays cash for surveys is mysurvey.com . You don't earn a lot of money, but if you log in everyday, you could possibly get about $10 a month. That's what I'm averaging there.

On the web when it says take a survey and earn cash is it true or are they lying?
Why do you people waste your time? 10 bucks a month. You've got to be kidding. Anyone can get a job that pays $6 an hour. You probably log 20 hrs a month taking stupid surveys. Even having 2 or 3 jobs would be better than $10 a month.

A lot of them are scams, so be really careful. A real market research survey company will never ever charge you a dime.

The sites that I use are:

SurveySavvy

Opinion Outpost

Harris Poll

Epolls

Global Test Markets

I've been paid by all of these and I know for a fact that they won't ever charge you anything or scam you.

I usually make around $10-$50 per month from each site.

Above website do not provide any job. It is just a registar of many multi national online job provider which are free to join. It gives you idea and links of online jobs which are verified to pay you no matter where you live.

Instead of going to above link you may search for online job anywhere using any search engine but there are 2 problems in doing so first is you may get into a site which is a scam and the second problem is you don't get good support for job.

Jobs providers in this site may be also in above other answers but if you join through this you get free live support with yahoo conference among registered members every week and email support 24 hours replied in less than an hour. There are more than 1450 job holders around the world who have joind in last 1 month through above link.

Reply:Hi.. Everyone needs money these days, sometimes we need to earn some extra money and thanks to internet for making this possible. I remember I was jobless before a year back, so I was searching for some online jobs. I have tried everything and nothing worked out. I have even paid some fees and lost it. Later I came to know that if someone ask money to join them to make money is a scam. And very few companies are legit these days. I then joined a survey company, and the best part is that, its absolutely FREE to join, I got registered with them as I got nothing to lose. They credit my account with $5 right away just to join them%26lt;!--Later they gave me some surveys, and i got huge money doing it. They got some offers to and after completing it they will credit our account. And these days am making more than $50 to $75 a day. Its very simple and I am doing it just by sitting in home. And you heard it right... Making money sitting at home with just a laptop and an internet connection. So now you ask me, whats that name of the survey company and please find that below....

It will take only 10 secs to register your account. Free internet paid surveys are the quickest and easiest way to earn a good income working from home or anywhere. All you need to know is how to fill an online form, and to click a few mouse buttons. Paid surveys are suitable for people from all walks of life and all ages. Whether you are a teen, a university student, a working adult or a retired grandpa--%26gt;there is a free internet paid survey for everyone and anyone. Free internet paid surveys are really an easy way to earn some extra cash to supplement your income. I hope this will help you in making money online.
Reply:They've worked for me. I review some survey sites to make money that have worked for me at http://cashtutor.blogspot.com What you have to do is complete surveys and offers for companies that want the public's opinion. By doing this, you are able to earn money very easily for simply giving your opinion or trying out sample products. This is a great service that allows one to work from home, on their spare time, at their leisure, and still bring in a nice sum of money every month. People have made up to $1000 easily on this site by just working on it in their spare time. It is not going to replace a real job's salary, but it is a very nice bonus. There are also many features on these web site, such as contests and special surveys, from which you can redeem extra prizes that would be sent to you with your monthly cheque, such as iPods, Xbox 360s, PSPs, digital cameras, gift certificates, and much more.

Cheques are sent monthly, and usually arrive about a week or a week and a half into the next month. No payment from you is ever required, not to sign up, not EVER. Unlike other sites that try to scam people out of their money, these sites never requires you to pay them.

"If the site doesn't get paid from me, then why would they have this service going?" - The sites don't get paid directly from you, but when you complete an offer or survey, they also get paid a small portion of what you earned yourself. For example, if you complete a survey about computers let's say, you would earn maybe $2 and the web site itself would recieve $0.50 from the company also for getting you to complete the survey. These surveys take little time at all, most taking up less than even 1 or 2 minutes of your time.

Fraud is also a big deal on the Internet these days, and this site recognizes that. That is why they ask for ONLY three bits of information: Your name, email address and your home address. Yup, that is all. No credit card information, no banking information, nothing like that. All they require is your name and address so that your cheque can be sent to your home every month. Your email address is only required to confirm that you have done the offers and surveys. Fortunately, no spam mail or junk mail is ever sent out by this site and your information is never shared with any other company.

Personally I have been a member of these websites, along with thousands of other satisfied users, for approximately 1.5 years now and have earned well over $8600 by working in my spare time. This web site has been great to me, also the members and administrator are very friendly, and are always there to help you with a question or problem you may be having. So far, I've listed only positives about this site, because I can't think of a single negative thing about it. Earn money in your spare time, at no cost to you...Easy as that! I give you my word that they pay.

email me at lancesurveys@hotmail.com if you have any questions

How do I find sales/distribution channels for my test and survey making software?

I have worked for several years developing test and survey making software for my business. The product is called PROTASM - Professional Test and Survey Maker and can be found at www.protasm.com . Create tests and surveys easily. No special viewers needed. Tests/Surveys are created as HTML pages (regular web pages) and can be viewed in any Web browser (IE or Firefox). Enable certificates in tests and test takers will receive a certificate they can print if they reach your specified score. Test/Survey answers can be text or images. Software contains a Results Viewer to track whether a user has taken the test/survey. Create graphs with results data, filter and export to CSV file. Time limit settings and set number of times a user can take a test. Create and share tests, surveys and styles with our user community. There are many online movies, tutorials, and FAQ's on the website. Use free version with no time limits (ads and redirects) or upgrade to the paid version (no ads or redirects)

PROTASM is great software and fun to use. I currently advertise on www.download.com but am looking for genuine VAR (value added resellers) to get this product in the mainstream. I sent a request into Digital River but never got a reply. Any ideas?

Reply:Read everything carefully. All that stuff is subject to "Terms and Conditions".

It might be that you are simply entered into a contest if you answer the survey, where one winner gets a laptop.

More than likely, it is one of these marketing services that claims you are getting something for free based on "participation". Participation consists of buying certain products or signing up for certain services which cost money. Supposedly, if you participate in the required number of "offers", they will send you the free gift. I have heard people that actually received Plasma TVs by doing this. I have also heard of people that bought a bunch of stuff they didn't need, thought they had met all the requirements, but never received their free gift or were told that they hadn't met all of the requirements. You could easily spend as much or more money fulfilling the participation requirements as you would spend just to buy the free gift. If you need the products and services required to meet the participation requirements, it might be a good deal as at least you stand the chance of getting something extra for free for buying stuff you would have bought anyway.

Any Web Designers want to fill out a questionnaire for a school essay?

Are any of you professional (as in part/full-time job and making money from it) web designers who can do a survey/questionnaire about their job? Maybe somebody knows someone fitting the qualification who can answer it within two or three days tops? The questions will be asked via email, by the way.

Reply:Be careful - the sites that offer big money usually aren't legit, and the sites that are legit usually don't pay much. Think about it - the survey company doesn't make a huge profit selling this information to the product companies, so they aren't going to offer huge payments to the people who take the surveys. They also are clever enough to space out the surveys they send you so that you don't get too many during the year - I once did dozens of surveys a year and earned a whopping $20.

Yes, it's easy money, but it ain't great money, and there are probably more remunerative uses of your time.

It took a ton of research, but I have found some really good sites. I have averaged $2,000+ a month for the last 4 months. If you would like to see site descriptions and proof that they pay, please seem my profile.

Does ne one kno any web sites that pays you to answer surveys for real cash.. besides survey spot??
There are several survey sites that are legit, your not going to get rich doing them though. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. The one I have had the most luck with is Lightspeed. They do not pay you cash you get points which can be converted into cash via pay pal. However, they send me the most surveys. And already twice now I have been asked to participate in a more extensive survey in which I was sent a palm pilot in the mail and asked to record certain daily activities. The ones I have completed offered a $50 incentive and that was in the form of a check in addition to the points I received for completing the initial survey. I have also done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. I did a lot of research before joining these. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota. I am pleased with these sites and looking to join some new ones.

Most pay a few dollars per survey completed so it is best to use several. If you would like to give me a referral credit use the link in my profile for survey savvy and the other websites are listed there as well. Good luck!

HOW CAN I MAKE MONEY FROM my PC WITH OUT HAVING TO SELL ANYTHING OR DOING SURVEY OR WEB DESING??

I had a similiar question a few month ago and after a lot of research and I was fortunate enough to come across a website that helped me for free to make extra money at home! (I will post website at the bottom.) Anyway to make a long story short:

This is what I do to make extra money at home and are easy for anyone to do..

(1) Sell items on the Internet. I started out by selling extra items that I had at home, now I go to yard sales, flea markets, bazaars, check out discount bins at stores, etc and resell them for a profit on the net. I sell the small items on an International auctions Site (Ebay) and the larger items on a local auction site , this save my shipping charges, etc

(2) This is the easiest way (for me) to make extra money (believe it or not), I make pocket change by "reading emails. I just click on a email link and wait for a timer to expire, close the link and move onto the next email. I spend about a 1/2 hour a night doing this

(3) Another popular way is to start your own blog and or website, design it properly and your website or blog will pay for itself sooner or later. This is a great form of extra income because the internet is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week...

and I will post the link below...If you have any question about what I am going to share with you, please email me (just click on my "yahoo name)..Lastly it is important for me to say, that in no way do I profit from posting this link that I have posted.

Hopefully, you will find my answer helpful!!!

You're conducting a survey to determine how many alcohlic beverages students from the local university consume per week. To avoid having a biased sample, you decide to

A. include the same proportion of males and females as found in the student population as a whole.

B. survey students who are members of fraternities and sororitites and none from the academic clubs.

C. Have members of local law enforcement administer teh survey to the students.

D. post your survey on the college Web site to ensure a representative sample of the college population.

You're conducting a survey to determine how many alcoholic beverages students from the local university consum
I am sure there is a question there but already I see a couple of biases in your survey.

1. by including only the frat houses you have biased the student population. If you want to know how many a student consumes you need to get a cross section of all students. If you only want to know how much a frat student drinks then you need to change your question.

2. having law enforcement administer the test will eliminate many students because they may be under-age or afraid that the law enforcement officers will use the survey to target the next party.

Reply:A all the way!

It may reduce randomness a bit, but it maintains the makeup of the sample group and would be far more representative of the whole than B or D. C would just be bad.
Reply:A
Reply:All four are bad choices:

A reduces randomness in the survey

B causes a skew in results (reduces randomness by surveying a population within the population)

C causes dishonest answers

D causes a skew in results (reduces randomness by surveying a population within the population)

Edit: Making sure your survey proportions are identical to the population proportions is an invalid and incorrect way of conducting a truly random survey folks. Random means random. A survey that is not random is not a reputable survey.

Do I need to discuss sample size and response rate in a research paper based on a convenience sample survey?

I was wondering if anyone had any good links or books to recommend. I am writing up the results of a web-based convenience sample survey and am getting differing advice about whether or not response rate and sample size can/should be discussed. THANKS!

Do I need to discuss sample size and response rate in a research paper based on a convenience sample survey?
The best person to talk to is your faculty advisor. But it is standard practice when you are using survey based research to disclose the sample size and the response rate, because it does influence the reader's perception of the outcome.

For example, if your sample is 8 people who responded out of 400 who were approached, your findings wouldn't carry much weight. If your sample was 98 responses out of 100 queries, it would be much more influential.

Anybody use those web surveys that match you with a Presidential candidate?

Such as this one:

http://glassbooth.org/gbapp/index.php/To...

also:

http://www.politicalcompass.org/

(this is my favorite -- it has in-depth questions)

If you have, did the result match your expectation?

Did it cause you to investigate the candidates' positions?

Did it change your mind at all?

Are the issues what matters most in your decision?

Know of other, similar sites?

Anybody use those web surveys that match you with a Presidential candidate?
I have tried two of them and both times it said I should be voting for Ron Paul. I didn't have any expectations the first time I tried it. I know little about him but don't think I will vote for him because it seems a waste to vote for someone with no chance of winning. My main issue is illegal immigrants and getting them all out of the country. Secondly getting everyone home from Iraq. A very strong issue for me is to make sure no one named Clinton steals any more White House furniture!
Reply:Well, that was cool...

I ended up with Hillary for one and Barack for the other.
Reply:Politicalcompass pegged me as a Liberatarian.
Reply:On every test I've taken, I always match with Obama and Clinton.

The second test says that I am a Leftist Libertarian.
Reply:http://www.ontheissues.org

Voting for someone because the media has ordained as them as "having a chance of winning" is a wasted vote.

Those who vote in such a way might as well stay home and let the rest of us who actually think for ourselves and really care about the country do the voting.
Reply:i found a good one on this website: www.ontheissues.org

i was mitt romney
Reply:I was matched with RUDY first, and Mitt Romney second. Anyone think they would make a good TEAM ? What about Fred Thompson as the second spot on a Rudy ticket?
Reply:I always get Ron Paul on those quizzes. They always rank someone like Brownback or Romney as my dead last candidate. Because they're jokes.

Can anyone tell me if the survey sites found on the web actually work?

Has anyone tried one and actually earned money?

Can anyone tell me if the survey sites found on the web actually work?
I use the following: http://www.surveyspot.com/

I just received a $15 check today. They are honest and there are a few surveys a day. Most of them just give you chances to win a prize. A few times a week there may be surveys that will pay anything from $1 and up. One was $15. They ask a few preliminary questions in some surveys and eliminate you if not qualified.
Reply:Oh they work alright...... for spammers. Once you fill one of those things out you will by inundated with every offer in the world %26amp; they will have your info.

%26amp; for the record, I have yet to have met anyone who has made a dime off of one of these "get rich quick" schemes. It's the millenniums version of stuffing envelopes.
Reply:There are people who "get rich quick" every day. The trick is to discover something that fills a need or entertains a want. What has worked for me is this - create a website about something that you know a lot about. Then you can make money by running ads on the site. Here is a guide to getting started - http://www.richkahmer.com/make-money-onl...

If you really want to fill out surveys there is one program listed on there that pays out in gift cards. Thats the only one I can say I've seen work.

Anyone give out survey or web site that shows which area needs computer consulting?
Use www.dice.com and www.monster.com they may not have graphs but at least you can look for job listings and see where has jobs and what sort of pay levels they have. Also try and take into account how much it costs to live in different parts of the country.
